Size doesn't always matter when it comes to friendship, and Little Bear (the cat) and Sequoia (the bear) are living proof. Sequoia is a long-term resident at the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary, which provides a permanent home to animals rescued from unethical breeders, or who've been kept as pets, and who can't be reintroduced into the wild. We're guessing that Sequoia probably wanted some company, and that Little Bear recognized a kindred spirit when he wandered by. What draws two animals together--especially two animals of different species (and especially when one of those animals weighs 7 pounds and one ways 550!) is always a bit mysterious. But it's also more than a little moving, and this sweet story brightened our whole day!
